About the GAP Family Community Center
The GAP Family Community Center exists to strengthen families, empower youth, and build a resilient, connected community in North Akron. Founded on the belief that Togetherness Overcomes Poverty, we are guided by the “Power of One” principle: One decision can change a person. One person can change a household. One household can change a street. One street can change a neighborhood. One neighborhood can change a community. One community can change a city.
Our mission is rooted in faith, compassion, and service. We believe that no one should face life alone, and we work every day to create a place where people feel seen, supported, and valued. Through community service, collaboration, and holistic programming, we strive to uplift every individual who walks through our doors.
